A Modern Take on Tradition

In this recent Refine project, we had the pleasure of sourcing and providing floor-to-ceiling hand-painted Delft Blue tile straight from the Netherlands, bringing a touch of European artistry to a bright coastal home.

Each tile in this space is unique — individually painted by artisans who carry on a centuries-old Dutch tradition. The delicate blue patterns add warmth and soul, balancing beautifully with the kitchen’s natural wood tones, brass details, and clean white finishes.

What makes this installation special isn’t just the tile itself, but how it transforms the entire feel of the room. The handcrafted quality and subtle imperfections create a sense of depth and authenticity that only handmade materials can offer. It’s a perfect example of how traditional craftsmanship can live seamlessly in a modern home.
